You really need to ask, "Why? Why are you better than other instructors?"
Simple - I don't waste your time and money with unessential claptrap.
What's essential?
What you want to accomplish musically?
My skill is to make two lists:
1. What you need to know to do what you want to do, and
2. What skills you need to learn to do what you want to do!
Of course, this means that you have to have some sort of a general plan. That needs to be VERY general, such as "play showtunes" or "enjoy making my favorite music."
It could even be "relax after a hard day at the office."
With me, that's all good, as my students will tell you. People don't have to master their instrument, that's what I and other musicians do. You CAN be a "hobbyist" and that's very okay.
In other words, you can have a life.
I just help you put some music in that life.
I guess that good ol' Steve Jobs did the same thing. The difference between me and him is that I figure that you really will get more out of doing the work of making music yourself, while Steveo was in the business of making sure you listened to your music.
