It just makes sense to ask "What's in it for ME?" before spending money, time, and effort!
1. Money - I list this one first since it's probably in very short supply right now. Want to have a free hobby? One that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get into? Simple. Play your favorite music on an inexpensive keyboard. I can show you how rather cheaply. Why should you have a hobby? Well, that's an easy one - it makes a person much happier and happy people deal with daily problems better. Also, acoustic pianos are expensive to buy and expensive to keep up. If money is no object then fine. Otherwise...
2. Time - Learning to play an acoustic piano takes time. Learning to play an inexpensive keyboard takes less. It's that simple. How do I know? Simple as well - been there, done that, for 4 decades of playing almost everything with a key on it and 25+ years of teaching folks of all ages to play the same.
3. Effort - Now I refuse to lie to you here and say you can learn to play in a month from scratch. There's no shortage of scam artists who promise you that and more. Anyone over puberty knows this is not so. Still, you are welcome to try those "methods." Simply come back when they fail. It will take some effort to teach your hands the habits they must have, just less than the effort necessary to get really good at acoustic piano.
Does this all seem like it would be worth a visit to a website? I surely hope so: check out danstarr.com
