3 Things You Might Not Have Known about pianos!

Or you might have, unlikely though that might be!

1. The first pianos did NOT have 88 keys.

2. Nor did they have pedals.

3. They were weighted but only lightly.

I recommend (for increasing your knowledge of pianos) that you read the same book from which I got this info - it's actually called Piano 300 and I'll whet you whistle with a fourth fact:

4. Some pianos had more than three pedals.
